Today I learned that it can take one little spark to really create a change. I've been struggling to get out of bed after suffering manflu and the darkness of the British winter. A little change of scenery in taking a walk and heading out of the house helped me to see a different perspective.
Suddenly I felt energised and ready to take on the world. I was able to focus and resolved to get past the darkness and start to really kick it.
Next time motivation is lacking and a change is needed, go for a change of scenery.

What i learned today - February 9, 2009
I learned that nighnurse flu remedy really does make you drowsy - thanks for the 10m wake up!
I learned that for me, people bring me real energy. I get a true buzz from bouncing around ideas, meeting new people, creating possiblities. There is no end to the great and talented people to collaborate with and bottomless ways to work together. If you get your energy this way, these interactions really are the lifeblood of day to day life.

What I learned this week
1. Snow days can be fantastic. Seeing families playing on the Common and building snowmen was heartwarming. People were different when the snow came down - suddenly open to conversation, smiling and assuming the best of each other. We need to adopt a "snow day" attitude every day.
2. You have to find what you are passionate about and RADIATE it. My client has suddenly switched on the lights by connected to what her really cares about. All of a sudden he is like a heat seeking rocket, ready to take off.
3. Oldies are Goldies... seeing old friends after all this time was just as great as ever. Now must work hard to keep it up.
4. Sometimes you have to just accept what is and go with it. This week has been a flat week for inspiration, yet I've found two new clients and opened up some interesting opportunities.
5. Running has become a fundamental part of my life. Being snowbound for a few days was akin to a caged tiger and not an experience that I'd care to repeat. Regular exercise invigourates the soul, freshens the mind and relieves stress.

What I learned today - January 30th 2009
I learned that sometimes you have to listen to your body. Having spent half the night awake, thinking about work, I gave myself a break and slept in. Glorious. I also took a great run, as that is what I needed.

What I learned - January 29th 2009
I learned that focusing on everything you do all day is very tiring - I was hardly able to get out of bed after yesterday's exertions. I learned to trust my intuition more today - to explore new avenues of possibility. By allowing myself to wander more freely in my thoughts for an hour I found two great new leads for my business. Hmm - seems like there needs to be time for focus and time for creativity. Good progress though. Ok - off to networking!

What I learned - January 28th 2009
I learned that being deliberate and focused helps me to be both productive and brave. I concentrated hard on each task I undertook today and gave it absolutely 100% of my attention. By doing this, I lived in that moment free from the distractions of the past (which we can't change) and the future (which we shouldn't obsess over). I also stretched myself to do things a little out of my comfort zone and found that the attention that I put into these acts made them easier to accomplish. What a very liberating day it was - no turning back for me now.

What I leaned today - Tuesday January 27th 2009
Today was a day for self-reflection. I have learned that after every great change and push, it is important to step back and assess where you are. I had a deeper conversation with myself and focused on what the future might look like.
I learned that I am devoted to my family, a great coach, that I love people, love stimulating and generating ideas. I became clear that i need others to get my energy and I need recognition. I learned that I want to make a difference in society with my life and create positive change - through empowering other and sharing skills. I realized that I am strong and can create my own destiny as I go along.
Today I created a mastermind group of great people for mutual support. I walked my talk and was enthusiastic about coaching to others, leading to 2 new clients in one day. I learned that I can be excited about a future and be clear on what I want.
What a great day!
